Bruce Starr has been in the entertainment industry since 1981 when he was a manager and agent for Hollywood stand-up comedians and actors. Just some of his clients were Howie Mandel, "The Unknown Comic," Paul Reiser and 30 other comedians."
Bruce Starr began his media career in 1990 when he guested on dozens of radio shows around the country. In 1993, he joined forces with Dr. Joel Wallach (Dead Doctors Don't Lie) who was to become his first and long standing sponsor, growing together on his LUVWORKS WITH BRUCE STARR radio show heard on WNN, The Winners News Network across South Florida.
At that time, he started hosting and producing the cable television version of the same show seen across South Florida about relationships that also remained on the air for two years.
In 1998, Bruce Starr moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He became the host and producer of seventy Starr Talk’s, a Los Angeles based cable television show, seen in over 3 million households from 2000 to 2002. He interviewed dozens of celebrities, comedians, athletes, authors, speakers as well as leaders in the relationship, health and healing world.
In 2003, Bruce moved to a tropical island in the Western Caribbean where he was able to fill a much needed niche. He became the FIRST AND ONLY TALK RADIO SHOW HOST in the region for 8 years. He then became known around the world over "live streaming radio" as “ROATANBRUCE” and “The English Voice for the Western Caribbean.” He was also nicknamed “The Larry King of the Western Caribbean.”
Even though there were no ratings available, The Roatan Bruce Show was heard by everyone on the island and across the northern mainland of Honduras. Restaurants, stores, taxi’s and homes listened daily to his over 3400 hours of airtime accumulated in nine years of broadcasting there including interviews with FOUR HONDURAS PRESIDENTS and hundreds of Congressman, Mayors, Governors and Business leaders. He will always be remembered there for delivering "the best music this world has to offer" for five hours each weekday!
In 2012, he and his family decided to leave the island as a result of political changes and problems in the region and returned to South Florida. He soon began broadcasting on BlogTalkRadio, interviews heard by thousands with some of the best-known athletes, celebrities, authors and speakers.
For the past 2 years, his shows have been picked up and replayed by the WGSN-DB Going Solo Network and are included in their affiliate broadcasting with Soundcloud, MixCloud, Speaker, to name a few.
Since 1992, the Coach has traveled around the country speaking about relationships. He looks forward to speaking everywhere in the world where they want to have loving, supportive relationships. As a result of his forty-year commitment to learning about and later speaking about healthy relationships, he has been called “The Godfather of Relationships.” He has been together with his wife Lorin since 1998 and married for fifteen years.
