This great Monologist amiably covers a midlife crisis in ‘’Til Death’ There is a vast gap between a theater piece and a standup comedy act, but he is the latest performer aiming to bridge that divide with his solo show, ’Til Death Do Us Part-You First! The result is far more the latter than the former, but that does not prevent the evening from being 90 minutes of amiable humor. As the title suggests, this largely autobiographical show explores his own commitment phobia. At the age of 55, his long-term relationship with an admittedly terrific gal named Cheryl is seriously endangered because he refuses to take it to the next level – marriage.

As the crowd sat in anticipation of the comedians one man show Til Death Do Us Part…You First were entertained by a slideshow featuring internet memes and comic strips about love, marriage and the battle of the sexes—a preview of what we were in for. And when he took the stage he wasted no time. This was his story—his sad, yet hilarious love story. An experienced stand-up comic, he made the stage his own, immediately breaking the fourth wall. We were his friends, and this is his home—in the spotlight punch line. Aided by occasional video relationship fiasco on a seesaw at just age nine (“and been his own worst enemy with the opposite sex: “The longest relationship I’ve had is with T-Mobile,” he joked.
